2021 is all about the organ. The State Music Councils of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia have jointly chosen the “queen” of instruments as Instrument of the Year.

“Every organ is unique because it is built solely for the architectural space in which it is to be played. The highly specialized knowledge and particular skills required for organ building and organ music have been developed by craftsmen, composers and musicians over thousands of years.
